A tripled preliminary revenue print sent micro-cap Knightscope up 46%, while Amprius fell another 6% on a credibility overhang — the basket's extremes both sat at the platform and power edges.

Knightscope led — and dwarfed — the basket, up 45.5% to $2.08, after the autonomous-security-robot maker released a preliminary Q2 showing revenue roughly tripling to about $9M (from $2.7M a year earlier) across 434 clients in 42 states, alongside a new "Autonomous Security Force" strategy that folds hardware, orchestration software, and licensed agents into one service. Knightscope sits on the platforms-integrators chokepoint — the layer that turns sensors and actuators into a deployed offering — but at a roughly $2 micro-cap the move is as much thin float as fundamentals, and the print was only preliminary; full results land mid-August.

Amprius was the laggard, down 6.5% to $10.17, extending a slide that has roughly halved the silicon-anode battery maker over two months. The pressure traces to a soft Q1, a short-seller report from Manatee Research alleging overstated customer orders, and an analyst downgrade on stretched valuation. Amprius maps the batteries-power chokepoint for humanoids and drones — high-density cells are the endurance constraint on any mobile platform — so a credibility overhang on a key energy supplier is a real weight, with its own Q2 due August 6 (also flagged Aug 12 on the alternate calendar).

The rest of the tape ran mixed. Hyundai (005380.KS) +3.3% and Nvidia +2.3% to $212.06 firmed the compute-and-embodiment side, while design tools and connectivity softened: PTC -6.3% to $113.11 into its July 29 print, Synopsys -2.9% to $377.61, and TE Connectivity -4.2% to $200.28. The deployed-robotics names were quiet — Symbotic -0.9% to $42.46, Serve Robotics -1.3% to $5.31, Tesla -1.3% to $374.01 — while Japanese motion suppliers held steady (Yaskawa +0.4%, Fanuc +0.2%).

Earnings dominate the next stretch: Teradyne July 28; Tesla, PTC, and TE Connectivity July 29; MP Materials and Allegro MicroSystems July 30. The set-piece is Tesla's Optimus Gen 3 reveal and low-volume production start, targeted for late summer — the clearest signal on whether humanoid demand is real. Symbotic (Aug 6), Knightscope's full Q2 (Aug 12), and Enovix (Aug 12) follow, with actuator reads from Harmonic Drive and THK across late August.
